CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The Council will begin reviewing nominees for Elders & Deacons at their next meeting (February 13). If you would like to submit a name for either position, please contact a pastor or council member.
Young Adults will meet today at 4:00pm at the home of Pastor Dave.
Bridge will meet tomorrow at 7pm.
Evangelism Committee will meet Tuesday at 7pm.
Sojourners will meet Tuesday at 7:30pm.
Senior Game Time: Wednesday, 9:30am.
YPS will have a Faith night Wednesday at 7:30pm.
There will be no choir this week. Adult choir will resume next Wednesday, February 15 at 7:45pm. New members are always welcome.
Golden Bear Cadet Council Pinewood Races and Spaghetti Dinner: Saturday, February 11th at Ripon Christian High School. Dinner is served from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Student Center, racing starts at 6:30pm in the Gym. Come join us for an evening of good food and good racing. Dinner cost is by donation, all excess monies raised by the Golden Bear Council go to help defray travel expense for Cadets and Counselors attending the International Camporees.
RIPON CHRISTIAN SCHOOL:
RCS is starting to plan for the 2012-2013 school year and would like to pre-register any new families with children starting K-12th next fall. You will find an admission application and pastoral recommendation on the information table in your church, or you may get one from the elementary office. Once we receive your application and completed pastoral recommendation, the admissions office will send you additional paperwork to complete. Kindergarten Beginner’s Day (an opportunity for your child to get the "feel" of school) is being scheduled for April 19 and 20. Should you have any questions, please contact Pam in the elementary office at 599-2155, ext. 205.
COMMUNITY EVENTS
:"An Encounter" Prayer Seminar - Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be energized and equipped to pray more powerfully and effectively, making a difference in your church, your life and in the lives to those who are yet to find faith in Jesus. The seminar, sponsored by First CRC in Ripon will be held this Saturday, February 11. Registration opens at 8:30am, Conference is 9am-2:30pm and includes lunch. Cost is $25 at the door. Important: If you have not registered, please be sure to call the church office (599-3225) to make your lunch reservation so that we can plan accordingly. Expect a day of retreat, renewal, fun and refreshment!
"Forgiven and Set Free" - a Bible Study for women who are experiencing post-traumatic stress symptoms due to a past abortion, will begin in March at the Modesto Pregnancy Center. This study is free and confidential. For information call 526-1734 and ask for Rose.
